Ravens Released Ray Rice
After detailed video showing him knocking his fiance unconscious. This has nothing to do with W&M but I applaud the Ravens for doing the right thing. Having spent years in my first career as a child abuse/neglect investigator, I have a real level of disgust for people who prey on weaker people.
I wonder if B'more fans still cry foul now that they've seen the footage released earlier today?

Agreed that it's the right thing, but I highly question whether the Ravens and/or the NFL had already seen this footage.

It's hard to "applaud" the Ravens for anything. They made the right move only after they (correctly) guessed that the NFL would force them to based on public demand. The NFL was hoping the tape never saw the light of day.

I fully believe that he should be let go. Professional athletes often lead very privileged lives. In exchange, they are asked to simply obey the law (and play well enough to keep their jobs, obviously). This kind of behavior has no place.
You can also mark me down as one who is a little skeptical of the claims that they hadn't seen this footage, before. Even if that is true, though, why is beating your significant other and video of you dragging her out of the elevator worthy of two games, but video of you landing the punch worthy of being cut, indefinite ban, etc.? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Here's wondering if there are any plans to pair up a statue of Rice with Ray Ray, the alleged double murderer. and face of the franchise. This organization is the worst of the worst in the league.

I learned something from that video...that Ray Rice is left handed.
