In its place build a dorm or a classroom building (similar to what Notre Dame is doing) that fills the space, provides a need for the campus and has multipurpose space that can be used on game day. First level can be concessions and restrooms etc, upper levels the multipurpose rooms, suites etc.

As for the seats lost, oh well. We cannot sell out for an SEC team. No excuses

How is this financed? Same way the new dorms on other parts of campus. Private developer who gets to make his money back with student rent. Glass Bowl get a finished look. We end the debate of future expansions

-Yep, nothing screams more for dropping down to FCS, Div III, or NAIA than decreasing stadium capacity by close to 25%... (east upper deck seats over 6,000)
Though I do like the dorm/multipurpose bldg. idea. It just needs to be placed in the south end zone towering over the stone wall.

No excuses? Why is everyone so mad it's a difference of 2 thousand between what we had and a sell out? If two thousand show up all the sudden it's okay to talk about expansion? Like there were high school games and things that kept fans away. In 2012 vs. UC we we're 5-1 going into the game, no one complained about the 24k at that one? We just came off an FCS GAME. It wasn't a bad crowd. People were tailgating and having fun. The fans were loud. The team played like dog crap... It could be worse. Go to a marquee Ball State game...it's probably vs. NIU or Toledo because they can't get anyone larger than Army in their stadium.
