James Harrison Retires
What a great career for an "undersized" LB!

ā€œIā€™d also like to thank Roger Goodell for being my biggest adversary,ā€ said Harrison, who then walked away from the podium smiling as the laughter of Steelers personnel erupted around him.

I watched the game in the Kent BW3 - the place went nuts!

Too bad it was on a fellow Flash.

2 more reasons for Browns fans to hate him:

We need to add him to the coaching staff. There can't be to many college teams that have a former defensive mvp on them let alone one of the hardest hitting players in recent memory.

I doubt a guy that has made the millions he has would want to take a coaching gig for the lowest paying school around. Besides, he lives in Scottsdale so I doubt he'd want to leave that year-round warmth.

Retire? Is he even 27? I picked the wrong career.

His career was longer than that. He's 36.

It seems like he was always good, but it took him a long time to build up to it. He spent 5 years with the Steelers before taking over the starting linebacker position. Then 7 seasons as a starter.

I picked pro football as a career, but it didn't pick me.

Maybe not but no reason not to try. I would even do it publicly to get the free press from the sports networks. Worst case he says no but it brings to light that he went to Kent State again. Best case he says yes and he turns are linebackers into a group that is feared.

RE: James Harrison Retires
Well that was a quick retirement. Sounds like Harrison will return to the help the Steelers who lost Jones and Shazier.
