Never used it via laptop so not sure how the setup looks or what you'll need.
Xbmchub is the place I go for help.

Neighbor caught you peeking through their window last game?

If I get a subscription to Huskie All Access, are games available as archives? And if any of you have experience with this - how long does it take to get the game into the archives? - Longer than ESPN3? (ESPN3 is pretty good, I think generally they get it in there pretty soon after the game is over.) Thoughts?

Not a real techy guy so don't want to do anything more than I have too.

This is why the Apple TV (or Chromecast) is so much easier. A couple connections and you're good to go. And, you'll have a better picture.

Also, First Row Sports tries to put annoying bloatware on your computer.

RE: TV for UNLV game
All Access has the games archived. I listened to Baker's call of the NW game a few days after watching the game. I have an FFF (forced family function) this evening and I will need to listen to the UNLV game using the archived braodccast. I hope that they have it up late this evening.

I am hoping to get home today in time to see the second half of the game.

Don't you need subscriptions to stream a lot of that stuff though? For example, you can't just chromecast HBO to your TV without an HBO subscribtion right? xbmc allows you to watch any channel for free.

For sports, having ESPN in your cable or satellite package is all you need.

For other stuff I don't subscribe to, I use AirPlay. The nice thing about AirPlay is that I can mirror anything I watch on my Mac or iPad to the Apple TV and then to my flatscreen. Lotsa options!
