Looks good, 10th best in Wisco, and around 50th overall at SF. Good pickup by Monty, hope he is ready to learn some defense.

There should be 3 more spots for this class. We need two bigs 6'9 or bigger and a shooting guard.

Bradley is going to have to play down low. I don't think he can dribble well or shoot well. He is very long but will need to put on about 50 pounds.

Per a most reliable source NIU has landed its 3rd 2015 commitment: 6'0 PG Laytwan Porter from Rockford Auburn HS. Huskies on a roll.

The 2015 class has 2 more schollys left. I really hope they use them on bigs. Marin is the only guy over 6'9 on the team so far for 2015-16. Keith Gray should be around but he is more power forward than a big.

RE: New Basketball Commit - Jaylen Key
Ha, every single time a recruit is discussed, people always say two things..."We need height!" or "We need a shooter"....the two hardest things to get...as if every coach that has ever existed isn't after those things.

Height is not that hard to get. We have 3 guys over 6'9 right know. They will get atleast 1 more 6'9 guy.

NIU isn't going to get and doesn't need great scoring bigs. They need guys that will rebound and defend and our coachable. There are many guys like that. We will be fine.

RE: New Basketball Commit - Jaylen Key
Actually height (especially with talent) is hard to get. However, in the MAC, you can win with 6'7" and 6'8" guys if you are athletic enough. The really good Toledo and Kent teams were loaded with such players and had great runs........I would rather have a 6'8 guy that can play over a 6'10" or 7 foot project........and don't overlook "length" in the equation..........some 6'7" guys play like 6'10.......

RE: New Basketball Commit - Jaylen Key
Height with talent is hard to get, yes but I will take the 6'9 Threloffs, Maric and Rakocevics over the Grays playing center. MAC teams have guys that size these days. 2015-2016 Huskies will have 6'10 Maric who has talent. He just needs a back-up of similar size. I am 100% sure NIU will have another guy that size next year.
