Please guys. UConn or Cincy just isn't going to happen, please don't waste your time writing about it so that I don't have to wast my time reading it. No partials....nothing. Sheez!

Is this a joke or a trick question?

Neither. It is a serious question. Right now we overlap the SEC and B1G. We have MA, VA, and NC to ourselves. We overlap the B1G in PA and IN, and the SEC in FL, GA, SC, and KY. Right now WVU is on an island. The B12 is pretty much a non factor in the area other than WVU reeling in an occasional 4* player. The ACC needs to keep a third P5 conference from establishing itself within our footprint.

I am not advocating adding Cinci right now. But I would not want them in the B12. Them plus WVU gives the B12 too much of an eastern presence IMHO.

North Carolina State

I'd like your dream better if you threw in Cincinnati and UConn. Hopefully divisions will go out of style and it would be one big conference

RE: I had a dream last night and it was good for the ACC!
I think if the Big 12 got interested in Cincinnati, blocking that would be against the ACC's interest, because I think it would be the beginning of the end for the Big 12.

It would cost people some important state of Texas games, and nobody besides WVU has any interest in playing them. Most Big 12 boards are neutral to negative about the WVU island, and WVU's appeal and history puts Cincinnati to shame.

If the Big 12 starts sniffing around Cincinnati, the ACC should be sniffing around the Big 12, because there will be some serious desperation and dissatisfaction involved if that happens.

I agree with Shannon Panther. I say stake our claim and solidify "our turf." The best remaining eastern all sports teams should be ours. WVU would move to the ACC in a heartbeat if they were asked.

I don't see any scenario where UConn as a member of the ACC is good for the ACC. The last thing a conference that is structurally football challenged to begin with needs to do is add yet another structurally football challenged program.

Well I've been wrong more than once but I just don't see ND giving up Their Independence in Football. If by some forced restructuring the Big12 were to fold I would still find it hard for Texas and Oklahoma without it's little Brothers tagging along. So in Strong reality terms it leaves WVU from the Big12 to the ACC and the Best paring with Them is Cincinnati. Gives 2 strong Football schools and helps the ACC footprint next to and in both SEC and B1G Markets for the ACC Network that Would become a reality when added.

Once the championship game issue is resolved, the basic structure of conferences can change to incoroprate odd numbers of teams in a conference. The ACC will add West Virginia and stop at 15 (three pods of 5). The ACC will not and does not need a #16.

I had a dream too but it involved a brunette and a blonde. We dream different things Wilkie, but that's okay.

I think the ACC will go 16 and play 10 conference games on the next round of expansion. Ohio is a big market to have a possible ACC network in.

You lost all credibility there.
