Yes, we might have 3 back as good as Dixon. I would not be surprised if you see all 3 on Thursday.
Sokol looked very good against ULL. I was impressed. Our defense certainly has a challenge ahead of it.
That's a lot of homer talk about having 3 Dixon's. Unless they are all freshmen and didn't play last year, then I am calling BS. The backs UNT fielded were good last year but none are close to Dixon when healthy. You will see Thursday. I predict a close game. If tech plays liked it did at USL then tech wins. Anything less and UNT wins.
Should be a fun game.

I want to second Evans on this. He is seriously good. Shifty, hard to bring down, fantastic vision and runs a 4.3. It was obvious to me through spring ball that he is special. Only had one carry so far on the season but he broke it for a 53 yard TD. That will be the first of many. I feel the same about him that i did about P. Cobbs, Jamario, and Lance Dunbar.
Wilson and Pegram are no slouches either, but I need to see Dixon live before I can compare them.
La. Tech will be a tough challenge, I am looking forward to Thursday.

Thursday, Sept. 11
La Tech @ North Texas; With a capable quarterback, the Bulldogs are no longer one-dimensional. Dixon will keep UNT honest, and Sokol is serviceable enough to capitalize. UNT's running game will put them over the top unless Tech improves on it's defensive effort against ULL. Close game, but my homer-ism says the dogs pull off the upset.
Saturday, Sept. 13
Pittsburgh @ FIU; Pitt by a mile
Ohio @ Marshall; Expecting a solid win by the Herd
Alabama A&M @ UAB; Blazers stumble early, but get it done in convincing fashion by the end.
Eastern Michigan @ Old Dominion; Home game against a vulnerable MAC opponent. The Monarchs' squeak this one out.
Southern Miss @ Alabama; ...*sigh*
Tulsa @ FAU; The C-USA vs. G5 undefeated streak continues. Tough game for the Owls. Home field advantage is the only thing keeping this a W for FAU.
Western Kentucky @ Middle Tennessee; Middle is tough at home, but WKU is for real. Doughty has a field day and wins this one running away.
UTSA @ Oklahoma State; Predicting a bit of a hangover for the Runners. They left it all on the field against Zona. Oklahoma State will make the runners look very beatable in C-USA west.
New Mexico State @ UTEP; Bury em, Miners.
Rice @ Texas A&M; Rice plays well, shows up better than against ND, but A&M will just be a little too much.

Thursday, Sept. 11
LaTech @ North Texas; 8:00 ET; CBS Sports-Toss up here but I would expect a slight let down after last weeks huge win for La. Tech and conference.
Saturday, Sept. 13
Pittsburgh @ FIU; 12:00 ET; Fox Sports 1-not much to add here
Ohio @ Marshall; 12:00 ET; CBS Sports Network-UK had no trouble stopping Ohio, I would Marshall will not have much trouble either
Alabama A&M @ UAB; 3:30 ET (on ASN)-Really impressed with UAB's offense in this young season, looking forward to our first ever CUSA home game being against you guys
Eastern Michigan @ Old Dominion; 6:00 ET (on Cox 110)-Make sure you have a brick wall for Eastern Michigan to run through
Southern Miss @ Alabama; 6:00 ET; ESPN2 and WatchESPN-Great payday?
Tulsa @ FAU; 7:00 ET (on FCS)-Tulsa is not lighting it up, but FAU has not been impressive to start this young season
Western Kentucky @ Middle Tennessee; 7:00 ET (on MyNashville 30)-Judging by the past, the road team usually wins in this series which is very unusual....Call it WKU 35 MTSU 32
UTSA @ Oklahoma State; 7:00 ET; Fox Sports Network-UTSA gets the award for toughest string of games to start the season
New Mexico State @ UTEP: 8:00 ET (On Sinclair)-Wow did not realize we had any games left vs. Sun Belt, don't let us down!
Rice @ Texas A&M; 9:00 ET; ESPN2 and WatchESPN-Manziel is gone, enough said

Did you watch the UNT dismantling of SMU? Yes, they have 3 RB's that could be as good as Dixon. SMU was basically getting ridden roughshod over them the entire game...

La Tech over No. Texas in a close game
The Pitts will run over FIU
Marshall over Ohio if they play better than their last two
UAB will sweep the floor against The Alabama Farmers
Alabama is too much for improving So.Miss
Tulsa is always tough and will be better than FAU (I hope I'm wrong on
this one)
The Middle of Tennessee will be slightly better than the Western part of
Kentucky
Okie State will run away from Ootsa only because of home field
UTEP will beat Enemas U. in the Sun Bowl and make it 6/7 in a row?
Texas Uglies will dominate Rice at home easily
Charlotte over No. Carolina only because I don't know squat about either
one
Who won the OPT last week and the first one? Anyone keeping tabs?

Man, I hope so. They beat us pretty good last year. We have more experience and depth this year than we did last year, so maybe that'll be the difference maker.
We also had 7 turnovers vs. NCCU last year, IIRC. I certainly don't expect a repeat of that.
