NR. Cincinnati (0-0; have to see them play first)
Apparently barely beating an FCS team counts as a loss now.
Dang, my bad. Fixed now. for the help
USF 1-1 as well

RE: Week 2: Rank the AAC
I am Happy that Memphis played so great on the road, but sad to see that a few of their fans think they are Alabama now . Just like South Carolina is overrated we will see that UCLA is as well. Niether will be top 25 teams at the end of the year. Georgia will roll South Carolina next week. Wait till UCLA get into PAC 12 play....
Tier One:
UCF
ECU
CINCY - until proven otherwise.
Memphis
Tier 1-b Temple
Tier two:
Tulane
Tulsa
USF
Houston
Tier 3:
SMU
UCONN
Look the American has no world beater this year. But then Neither does The Big10 conference, or any other "G5' conference that we are lumped in with. So we are still in the hunt for the access bid as a conference.

RE: Week 2: Rank the AAC
1. UCF (Based on first 2 weeks, strongest in the trenches)
2. East Carolina (Great passing game that can really slice through some AAC secondaries)
3. Memphis (Seems like Justin Fuente has finally found the depth he's needed)
4. Temple (Great Wk 1 win and solid effort against strong Navy team)
5. Houston (UTSA is no slouch and obliterated FCS opponent)
6. South Florida (Picked Bulls to beat MD but 1 TD loss is not bad)
7. Tulane (Shut out in 2nd half by middle of the pack GT team)
8. Tulsa (Just one TD coming out of the locker room against OU)
9. UConn (We know BYU is really good but... Stony Brook)
10. SMU (Outscored 88-6 in first two games - Fire June)
Awaiting results: Cincinnati

Again, why the butthurt? Noone said we are Alabama. What we said was, based upon the RESULTS OF THE FIRST TWO WEEKS, Memphis is on top right now. Thats a fact. If you dont like the results, then start another poll.Call it something like "Rank the AAC based upon causing you the least amount of butthurt" and go ahead and put ECU up there on top.

It is not a fact. It is your opinion...which is weighted as equally as others. Unfortunately for you, it does not appear non-ECU fans agree with your assessment at the moment. Keep playing well and people will come to your corner. Being a **** early in the stages will not help you in that regard though. It will only push people away from your viewpoint.

No one seems to be butthurt but you if people on this board don't rate Memphis as the number one team in the conference right now. YOUR opinion is not the TRUTH it is just an opinion just like everyone else. You are 1-1 right now. If you want to anoint yourself as week 2 champions because you blew out Austin Pea, be my guest. Just don't criticize others if they have an opinion that is different than yours.

AKA, it's all subjective and each person is a little biased by their own team.

RE: Week 2: Rank the AAC
Here's a fact; Memphis received 4 votes in the coaches poll this week. How many did ECU receive? How about that for a RESULTS BASED ranking.
Memphis received 1 vote last week, so they increased the number of votes received based upon the RESULT of their game against UCLA.
Like I said, FACT. It's not my opinion that Memphis received 4 votes. Its a fact. Its not my opinion that ECU received no votes. Its a fact.
I'm not sure why some ECU fans are so butthurt over this. You'll have a chance next week to change all of that. But you'll need RESULTS. I'm hoping you guys trash VT.

Last I saw, ECU and Memphis were both 1-1, with losses this week to P5 programs, so at best Memphis is equal to ECU. Polls, like this thread, are subjective, not facts. But don't let that stop ya.

Fact: Memphis blew out and FCS team.
Fact: Memphis played well against a highly ranked UCLA team and looks to be a factor in the AAC race this year.
Fact: The ashes of the average cremated person weigh nine pounds.
Fact: The fingerprints of koala bears are virtually indistinguishable from those of humans, so much so that they could be confused at a crime scene.

That is true. But dig a little deeper:
1. Memphis shut out and destroyed their first bad opponent.
2. ECU destoyed, but did not shut out, their first bad opponent.
3. Memphis lost to a team that is 2-0.
4. ECU lost to a team that is 1-1, and had their asses
handed to them at home the prior week.
That is the reason that Memphis should be on top BASED UPON RESULTS.
There are more games to be played. We'll rank everyone again after that. Hell, Cindy hasnt even played a game yet. There's plenty of time for everyone to get on top.

I don't know bud, that P5 program (S. Carolina) lost to a pretty damn good Georgia team, so I still thinks it's a wash, and flawed logic, just to say you're better in a specific week. /shrug

The touchdown that NC Central got off of ECU was a defensive touchdown off of a fumble by an ECU running back. So your statement fails.
Secondly, Memphis lost at UCLA just like ECU lost at South Carolina. A loss is a loss, but this is the second week in a row that UCLA has struggled to put away an opponent that is traditionally not very good. So we don't if Memphis is good or if UCLA is just wildly overrated. I will know more about Memphis when Memphis plays MTSU. And I will know more about UCLA if they can't beat Texas.
