B1G football: be polite and try not to stare
I'll hide my delight as much as possible since my loathing for the B1G is well documented. Funny thing is, Edsall was happy to be moving to a "football" conference. Wow.

LOL! Very good of you to do. I'm afraid I'm not that good though. I'll be grinning ear to ear today after UNC held on, VT beating the always overrated Buckeyes, and the B1G losing a playoff spot in Week 2.

Only thing I like about B1G....they took Maryland, opening the door for us to come party with you guys!.....and that's the only thing, that conference is full of itself.

does the ACC really have room to talk here? The BCS era wasn't very kind to the ACC either.

We just knocked off the biggest and baddest B1G team, we have the #1 team in the country who are the defending national champs, we got a 2nd BCS win last year, and we have an affiliation with ND, who looks pretty good.
We aren't the SEC, but we have room to talk.

Probably a horrible move for Maryland to leave from their perspective though now I am not too upset they're gone, since it's obvious we've got a top 25 replacement in football, top school in basketball, and overall well rounded program in Louisville that's a marked improvement.

Who knew…? All it took to relegate the B1G to the same level as the rest of G5 was letting Maryland go.

The acc has plenty of room to point and laugh at Delaney because they're a vastly superior football conference at present. The acc swept every individual award, won the natty, beat OSU in the orange bowl and now VT has exposed them further. Delaney is a skunk of the first order and deserves it.
I'm willing to look past msu's loss to Oregon because they will make the CFP. However, let's also remember that they lost to 2 MAC teams and narrowly defeated a third. Nebraska had an embarrassing win vs McNeese and Michigan got jail raped by nd. What's telling is that the supposed upper tier of the B1G got exposed. Yes ncsu struggled the past two weeks but nobody expected them to be a contender, which is way different from nebraska's win or OSU losing to a perceived middle tier team from the acc. I rest my case.

You know the old saying about, "don't get into a fight with a fool, lest they drag you to their level and beat you with experience…?"

ACC still has a huge money issue compared to B1G and SEC.
That hasn't gone away.
Conference networks and better bowl deals are THE issue for the ACC right now.

Consistently winning games like VT over Ohio State will help with that.
But there are those who think that VT overscheduled with that series.
Go figure.
Cheers,
