Game week! This I know...
After watching O$U, Miami, Toledo and the rest of the AAC over the past 2 weeks, I know that this UC team has the talent to beat every one of them. The only thing that will stop us is if we beat ourselves. I won't be surprised if we lose a game, but it will be due to loss of focus, not because the opponent has more talent. This team should go into every game confident they can (and will) win.
GO BEARCATS! BEAT TOLEDO!

I'm stoked. Year two of the Tommy Tuberville era. Time to play consistently and take care of business.

After seeing Miami and OSU play I think we have a chance in these games...
key vs OSU is giving Gunner time to pass. Also, blitzing their qb.
Gonna be a fun ride!

I've learned not to get too excited.
I was very optimistic that we'd beat Tennessee, but no...
I was damn certain we'd beat Illinois, but, not only no, HELL no...
Don't get me wrong, I am not sitting on my hands. But, I am definitely not waaaaay overflowing with optimism. We can clearly win every game. But it is time for the team to step up and get it done. Hoping for a huge opening night crowd (of which I'll be one)

UC was also awful on the road last year.

Yeah, that Rutgers game was a real travesty...

As was the Houston game.
I think UC's struggles were not on the road, but with consistency. Admittedly their 4 worst played games (in which the went 1-3) were away from home it's not hard to draw the conclusion that they were awful on the road.

The counter response I'm sure will include Miami, USF, and Illinois, all three of which were played with the pro style offense before the switch... But I'm sure we will blow right past that.......

Here's some info on Toledo's QB situation.
Quote:Tom Groeschen @TomGroeschen 16m
#Toledo QB Philip Ely (torn ACL) probably out for year, coach Matt Campbell says on MAC conference call. Toledo plays #Bearcats on Fri.
Tom Groeschen @TomGroeschen 12m
#Toledo soph QB Logan Woodside is next on depth chart. He replaced injury Ely in Missouri game. #Bearcats
