This is the best CUSA as a whole has been in a long time folks. I would put us ahead of the AAC for sure so far, and the sunbelt and MAC. MWC is also doing ok but its not unreasonable to say we are the strongest g5 conference by whats been on he field so far. Very impressive. Go CUSA.

No wins versus P5. A couple before the season is over would be nice.

Thats true. But kicking the **** out of the other G5s. 7-0 vs g5. Including ULL (sunbelt champ favorite), Houston (top 3 aac), and bowling green (which was the mac champ favorite, i say was because now their qb is out for season).

The P5 games have not bounced our way, WKU and UTSA both should have won those games. UTEP fighting hard right now vs TT as well.

RE: State of USA
I think CUSA acquitted themselves very well vs the P-5 programs today. I think a win vs those doo-doo heads will come sooner rather than later (hopefully tonight at UTEP vs TTech). But to be 7-0 vs "The Next Group of Five" is pretty darn impressive in my book. No one thought that would be happening right now. And if you look at each G-5 program from top to bottom, a case could easily be made that CUSA is the deepest conference of the five.

How many of those P5 games were at home?

That's right. Right around zero.

Every conceivable advantage isn't enough. Those bastards would blindfold you if they could.

UTSA got Arizona in the Alamodome.

But your point still stands. Lots of close road losses. The league needs to push past that last hurdle and win some road games against those programs to earn more respect. It is true that the deck is stacked against CUSA, however, you will not get much mileage complaining about it.

I have been saying this for a while. AAC is the old C-USA who spent 10 years looking good on paper and getting beat on the field. Their three small privates (SMU, Tulsa, Tulane) were a bad idea, and I can throw those rocks because I live in the Rice glass house. One small private academic member is good enough for any conference.

This year will be an eye opener. AAC (self-proclaimed to be the Access Bowl winners each year) practically finished now outside of Cincinnati or ECU/UCF running the table from here. MAC probably has the leg up, but when the conference strength ratings start shaking out, C-USA will be right there with AAC and the MWC.

Next week need FAU to put the double-digit beat down on Tulsa!

That would make CUSA 3-0 over the AAC.

ODU, UTSA, UTEP, coming so close is so hard to stomach. But in the old days, those would've been beat downs.
