What I Learned
1)1 cfb in hd on my new tv is awesome
2)Usf is much improved but is still looking for that deep ball spark
3)That moving from cusa has caused me to actually watch and care about other conference games (that's a first for me)
4) Temple is not a flash in the pan and will be tough this year.
5) Tulane is not bad but is one demensional against big dlines.
6)Houston is pissed off after last week and I believe will come into conference play with a head full of steam and will be a tough out.
7) uconn is only slightly in front of smu because they started their rebuild. Both will have a long way to go.
8)I am not sure what to think of Tulsa
9) cusa today reminds me a lot of cusa when we were there. Lots of challenger brands and up and comers that will be solid programs in 10) years if they are not killed by their next tv contract
11) it really sucks to be a cincy fan because it sucked to be idle this week and watch everybody play
12). Ecu is a good team
13) there are several teams that could contend in a p5 league today and others that will get there.
14) I refuse to buy the sec network so I have to watch the game elsewhere.
15) I think our next cycle will happen within 10 years. That seems to be the time needed to incubate teams in a league to get them ready for the next level
16) I hope we fare better next week and that when I bring my coworkers to the byu game we are in for a dog fight that I hope we can win.

RE: What I Learned
Just off my head:

1) USF is improved but hard to tell by how much. Jury still out.

2) Don't get excited by Houston. Grambling might be the worst team in FCS. Not FBS, FCS
They are really awful even by cupcake standards.

I agree. I just have a hard time thinking that Houston fell so far so fast
