MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A University of Memphis student was robbed at gunpoint Saturday evening in broad daylight in the South Lot, just north of the Recreation Center on Echles Street.

No injuries have been reported.

The University of Memphis Police Department is working with the Memphis Police Department to investigate this incident.

Not sure but was awful story. Sounds like she landed on the beams that connect the horse to the carriage, about 4' from where driver was standing.

The police haven't disclosed her identity.

Glad to hear no one hurt. Robbery is not as crazy as some of the other goings on around the nation.

Even the 'upscale places' are having serious issues protecting their students: Santa Barbara massacre, Vandy FB dorms, Oregon BB after-party.

Crime is up in this area, like I said. I hated to hear about the beating of the 3 people on the parking lot of the Poplar Plaza Kroger. Cici's Pizza there has always attracted a sketchy crowd.

Kroger's "guards" spend most of their time inside the door on their cellphones.

All the more reason to shop at Fresh Market or drive out to Whole Foods.

Maybe I should start ordering my food from Ultimate Foods and having it delivered.

I think I'd rather have that happen then pumpkins thrown at my head at Kroger.

I'm just wondering where I will get my pumpkin now.
