RE: Feeling better about our loss to ND!
What's really notable is that we competed athletically for at least a half, but beat ourselves with stupid mistakes, like the sequence in the last 3 minutes of the first half. Michigan isn't competing athletically with ND. I know Bailiff has upgraded our recruiting, but I didn't realize that much. Now if we could only get that talent better organized and prepared.

ND fans really impressed with our DL. We put more pressure on Golson than Michigan.

and somehow avoid having our safeties locked up 1 on 1 deep with receivers.

Golson looks like a serious Heisman contender if he and ND keep this up.

RE: Feeling better about our loss to ND!
I'm glad we have this weekend off to get some perspective and rest. We have definitely compared favorably to Michigan, which has been pointed out a few times during the ND-UM telecast. Looking forward to next week.

Agree 100%. The mistakes at the end of the half and in the secondary took away from the fact that we are much closer physically than most would believe. Can we improve the secondary play, keep our thin DL healthy, and put out a consistent offense that can score and control their share of the clock are the big questions in my mind going forward. I think CUSA will be a lot tougher than what most expected. Even ODU can't be overlooked. Looks like the year we should have scheduled SMU and Tulsa...lol.

The impression I have of our team Is that they are like a tightrope walker - fine until the first big mistake.

Just got back from dinner and caught the end of the ND-Mich game.
The score reassured me that we are on the right track. I hope it gives our guys some perspective and encouragement.

Not so much. 31-3 TAMU at the half and the Ags nearly ran back the 2H opening kick off.

Make that 38-3.

That was posted when it was 7-0 and Lamar had the ball inside TAMUs 10. They settled for 3 and it has been Aggies ever since.
