+2 I hate winning games. Should have played McIntosh the whole game.

Based off what, one half? Again, after last week everyone wanted McIntosh to be the guy. Now, it's Hare. Maybe next week it'll be Maddie!

Look at NIU's schedule. Really the only conference game I would say they have ANY chance at all of losing until November is CMU at home, and losing to CMU at home would be a major upset.

November 5th NIU starts a stretch of @ Ball State, Toledo, and then @ Ohio and @WMU and hopefully the MAC Championship.

I would like them to have a QB figured out going into that stretch.

You kidding me? We sure as hell better have a QB figured out before November! By Nov. the season is 1/2 over!!!

Ummmmmmmm.

Nah, forget it.

That is an odd statement...

Other than the bowl opponent, CMU is the only team that has a shot at being ranked when we play them (vs Syracuse, @Kansas, @Toledo and vs Ohio).

03-cloud9 Both of us undefeated...can you imagine Corso and Herby coming to DeKalb? LOL....(Yes this is a pipe dream but it could happen)

I honestly think the extension of the summer practice/QB competition period into the non-conference season was because the non-conference season was seen as sort of a throw-away with the MACC the main goal. While it still might be the main goal, one cannot argue that the NW win could mean there is a whole lot riding on Arkansas now (if NIU can take a W out of Vegas).

Does this guy know what he's talking about? It's at odds with what has been posted here:

Quote:Drew Hare...Negatives: Arm strength. I first noticed this last year. In a very memorable play from the Umass game, Hare throw a long sideline screen to Chad Beebe who turned it into a 80 yard TD. Reviewing that play, I noticed Hare needed to take an extra hop step to get more speed on the pass. Even then it wasn't exactly a rope.

He has a long delivery for sure. Great arm, but long delivery. Really everything he does is weird/awkward/slow.

Following game 1 I described Hare as awkward but effective. Never expected him to be as or more effective against NW but he was and it surprised me.

It is tough to argue against starting him at UNLV however nothing would surprise me at this point. Whoever wins this competition will have won it under fire and in game conditions. There are pluses and minuses to that but its not all bad.

Hare is only a sophomore. I believe we play Ohio State next year and who know who's going to be ranked in the future.

Isn't hustlebelt a glorified blog? Every time I read an article it just seems like they are a fan of a team that doesn't do much research. 7 has better write ups than half of their articles IMO.

I actually noticed the same thing last season in hares pass to beebe, he seems to use his whole body to throw that screen pass...but that 2nd TD pass to brown he tossed it from the 35 to like the 17, that's 58 yards...I think that's just fine for arm strength
