Unfortunate, but an enjoyable game to watch nonetheless.
We are very deep at dline. They had 3 legit NFL hogs on their team. Nice back handed compliment duche bag.
?... Don't see anything back handed there (or untrue).

Yeah, we're without 2 starting DLinemen. Nothing backhanded about that.

ECU played a very respectable game. Look like AAC contenders.

UNC is not nearly as good as VPI and I don't think that they're as good as South Carolina. Just my two cents.
One more thing: I hate to burst a certain Ruff-hater's bubble, but he's here to stay and deservedly so. He's done a fine job. We lost tonight because (1) our depth -which is good- is no match for most SEC team's depth and (2) because of two turnovers and a blocked FG. For the most part, we matched up well with them, on the road.
South Carolina will finish no worse than 3rd in the SEC-East and most likely no worse than 2cd. Don't be surprised to see them beat Georgia next week, either.
I like your confidence!
Part of the problems with our defense has been matchups. We don't do well against quick throwing up tempo teams. UGA has a much more traditional offense we might do better against
Hope y'all ECU fans had a decent experience at WB, look forward to more games in the future
Ive been to Columbia for every meeting between the two schools. Never had any problems with USC fans and shared some adult beverages with many of them. Good luck the rest of the way. I wish we could have punched in the first two scores last night. It would have been a donnybrook.

Exactly…That is what many ECU fans are forgetting. We play a 3-4 defense and were missing 2 of our 3 starting Dlineman. You have to play with what you have available but if we had Stanley and Williams out there last night I feel like we see a different result. We do have some depth on the Dline but a lot of it is inexperienced depth, young pups getting their first taste of real CFB.
Carden struggled early in the 2nd half trying to make too much happen…We had 4 possessions in the 2nd half and lost by 10. We just got beat by better talent on the lines….It happens and it does not get any easier this week against Va Tech. Hopefully we can make it out of this 3 game stretch with a fair amount of our 2 deep still in tact…Injuries could mount.

Yes, VT will blitz, but in different ways, Bud Foster is a great DC. He blitzed that way to take away OSU run game. That's what Bud does, he take away what you are good at. We will see a ton of man press with safeties over the top. Bud Foster is going to make us beat him on the ground.

I'm convinced that we can beat them on the ground, or at least keep them honest. But we need to stick with 2 RBs at the most.

Agree also, their LB's crash hard, over committing to inside runs. I'd come out with some zone reads. Bud will make an adjustment, but then you open the inside run, and the WR bubble screen, like SC did to us. I'm thinking Cam Worthy blocking and Trevon Brown catching. Suck the safety in on the run fake and you have 1-1 Cam vs the corner. We can not keep doing the same thing over and over, Bud Foster will stop you. You have to keep mixing it up, don't allow them to adjust or when they do you run counters to the plays they are try to stop.
Run some bubble screens, when they come up to press, have the blocker release and go down field. Even fake the bubble screen, then delayed hand off to the RB up the middle, get the LB's and DB's flowing out.
