With the exception of Combs, those were all back ups. 10 minute a game players who were valuable as hustle players.
Combs at times played a little higher level as a "starter off the bench" role. Other times, he was horribly errant and out of control. Odds are good that one of our two freshman recruits at guard will be able fill that role. Talented but prone to mistakes. Nothing to worry about there.

Whew for a minute there I thought you were talking about Raven Lee.

Or we just don't freak out about not getting local recruits and think that there is some legit talent on this team. Your condescension is appreciated though.
In terms of the upcoming season Sam reality bites, we don't need to worry about getting local recruits, they got turned off to EMU hoops long ago. We're a last instate option at this point. We'll recruit nationally gives us cover for not being able to get talent locally. We can always look for all of those 2.1 point per game transfers and hope that we strike gold.
Again I expect a slightly over .500 season thanks to games with Concordia, little sisters of the poor etc. A 3rd or 4th place in the MAC West.
Seeing as you've never seen any of these kids play, save for the 4 or 5 returnees, it's hard to take your post seriously. I won't write off a season like you have until, you know, I've actually watched this team play.

Guys, we need some perspective:
Our 2014 football recruits are greener then grass. mostly h.s. players who who are development prospects. Almost zero help for 2014.
On the other hand, our basketball recruits largely have significant D-1 experience or JUCO.
Our best true frosh, either sport, is likely to be Bond.

I'm not writing off a season, I'm saying I'm not expecting a 22 win season and why I believe the way I do. I'm saying I don't see EMU passing WMU and Toledo and maybe NIU now up the MAC West ladder and again I've stated why.

I'm out of season on hoops (like the Tigers/Royals play soon and Lions after that - it really isn't hoops seaon), but I remember thinking the MAC will not be as strong next year as 2013/14.
I'd guess 20 wins +/- 2 or 18 - 22.
I'm not hanging black crepe over a 20 win season.
I only worry about Riley's graduation. Some player's game doesn't show up in the stat sheets...
Can't have the NCAA's lowest def. FG percentage without an eraser at center.
Put Riley on this team and it wins 25 games.
