What I've said all along is that the stand down order, true or not, was not the problem. From everything I've seen, had I been on-scene commander then I would have issued a stand-down order. We had no forces appropriate to the mission in position to respond.

But why was that? That is the question that needs answering. And make no mistake, republican budget cuts had absolutely nothing to do with that. Zero, zip, nada, not even a remote possibility.

Why were there no forces in position to respond? Who made the decision to leave Benghazi--and indeed the entire Med--so ill-prepared for a reasonably foreseeable risk?

It's almost as if whoever made the decision wanted something like this to happen. That can't be true, can it? Then again, if it's not true, what is?

You cant qualify the "stand down" order at this point, by saying "Oh well it didn't come from Obama. Can't 'xplain this away. Who was CinC? Who gives the military their orders? If as you say there were no forces available, why did the first responders ask for armed air support, if there were none, why even ask? They knew there was support avail, there were 3 or more attacks. This is a full blown cover up to protect Killary and Zero before the election. Even some generals fell on their sword for them.
