Niu football Facebook page has been posting pictures of equipment crew preping white helmets for the game. Most recent picture shows a player at practice with the NIU letter helmet.

Mine too.

No their Facebook page specifically said that it would be either Huskie head or NIU...so not how we thought it was with the side by side pic that was released.

Red lids would be legit, but I'd prefer not matte. My high school was also red black and white, and we had solid red helmets.

At first glance I was unsure about the "NIU" on the black or white helments. It didn't take me long to really like the look.

I agree about the black ones but I really like the "NIU" sticker on the white helmet.
