Mizzou AD--No More G5 Road Games
Tod Palmer ‏@todpalmer · 18m
Alden: Future road games for football would be Power 5 teams, not Toledo, UCF or Arkansas State.

FBSchedules.com ‏@FBSchedules · 7m
RT @Dave_Matter: Alden: Mizzou will eventually phase out of playing noncon road games at non-power 5 schools.

Not quite sure they can get that. Good link showing what teams get paid to come. http://espn.go.com/college-football/stor...ed-weekend

For example GA Southern got $700K for the NCSU Game. This is one reason why many NCSU fans expect USA to be bought out next year. The assumption it will probably be around $350 like CMU. NCSU can offer UNC-Charlotte 700K. In addition, there are many 49ers in the area that would want a ticket. Assuming not even a sell out, state makes 1.6 Million - 1 Million. State's still makes 600K which is on the conservative side with out incurring travel cost. I doubt USA is paying much more than that.

The more P5 teams that choose this route the more they'll have to pay their G5 opponents. There will still be the Wake Forests and Indianas out there that won't be able to justify/afford $1-1.5 million paydays for a home only contract.

We will see if they buy out if the USA game. But I don't understand the fuss in changing the game date (at NC State's request) if they are just going to buy out of it anyway. Let's not forget that NC State has connections to Mobile with the Gottfrieds and that Mobile is a recruiting hotbed.

You might know them better than us and familiar with their tendencies, but it seems strange to ask USA to reschedule if they intended to not even play the game.

RE: Mizzou AD--No More G5 Road Games
I will say "NOTHING OFFICIAL" has been said. Since NC State has basically only played two OOC away games in the same season once since 2000. Most season tickets holders expect 7 games. The years we had only 6, the following year was 8. I know that we are not playing 8 home games in 2016. NCSU may still plan to play two road games next year and this be a rare occurrence. If the buyout was not increased when the date was moved, lets say it would not shock me if NCSU buys out the game if they can get another FBS team to come. The only two years with two away games are 2015 @ODU and @USA and 2017 @ND and @Troy. My guess either Troy or USA get asked to move to 2020, whoever agrees first, NCSU will go there that year and buyout the other. My bet is Troy gets the offer first and USA will be bought out only because the previous AD scheduled the USA game. Again, just speculating, but I have been a season ticket holder since 1989 which now just hitting me, this will be my 25th season. O Dear Lord, I am turning into one of the old guys at the games that the students say sir too. 03-wink

Right now this appears to be NCSU scheduling Strategy starting in 2016.

Even years: FCS, P5, @FBS, FBS
Odd years: FCS, @P5, FBS, FBS
