Inteligent basketball preview
From Real GM.

http://basketball.realgm.com/article/234...Conference

I don't agree with everything.... namely how much he's hung up on high school recruiting grades years after, when some of these players have been inefficient while in college when they have played, or pretty average in JUCO, but you can tell he's done his homework extensively at least. Better than the crap you'll get from Parish or some of the others.

Tulane and ECU are veteran teams that return 70%+ of their minutes that should be improved as he points out. Most of the times those kinds of teams do not get walked on by teams with as much turnover as has happened in this league, particularly from teams that weren't all that good last year in Houston and Temple. If those really are the only games we win are against each other and bottom 4 I'll be surprised when we add Whisnant and Tejada will be about as good newcomers as anyone in at least the bottom half of the AAC has added if not as good or better than some of the top with the experience we return.

I know its going to offend people, but I couldn't help but chuckle at the title of the last grouping of teams.

We'll we've been top 100 RPI two of the 4 years since Lebo has been here. If we aren't at least relatively close to that around 125ish in year 5 I think he needs to go. There are no excuses as experienced as this team is.

Unfortunately with the shatastic OOC schedule he gave us we won't be doing much RPI helping most likely and if we do get to top 100ish it will be at the expense of conference teams.

I think the OOC schedule Tulsa put together is going to make us much stronger for conference play. I also think conference wise if we all hold our own we will have a decent league RPI for the tourney and get 4 to 5 teams in. This is my hope at least.

The OP article was a good one. It pretty much nailed the Memphis situation.

Really, comparing D-1 transfers to incoming freshman isn't fair.... among the freshman Keondre Dew and Micah Littlejohn (Both of Tulsa) could seriously make an impact since we have a pretty open SF slot.

But I wouldn't say they're going to be as big of contributors as the Xavier transfer to SMU.

Only two of them are freshmen, and Tolbert isn't eligible this year. But really, UConn's backup PG over Temple's starting PF?

Might have been released before hand. I just know that they didn't mention Kedren Johnson for us.

It says August 8th, 2014. Jaylen Bond transferred to Temple in May of 2013.
