Hey Hollywood, have you ever eaten at Canter's Deli over in the West Hollywood area (Fairfax)? Like stepping in a time machine.

Wrong and wronger.
On a serious note, avoid Pink's Hot Dogs especially right before heading to the airport.

I stumbled on that place a long time ago (20 plus years) when working in that area for a few weeks. I have always wanted to return to eat but haven't been there again. I think I had pastrami as well. Heck, I think the original waitresses were still there when I visited. :-)
Ps. perhaps you could tell folks where to not eat

Those same ladies are probably still there Murph, well their corpses atleast lol. This place is the mecca for restaurants freakin' McDonalds started here. Anything you want is here, from around the world...Thai, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Greek, Italian, Russian, German, Chinese, Japan, Brazilian, Mexican, Salvadorian, Lebanese...on and on. And many say the food is on an equal par if not better than that of their origin.

I love In-N-Out Burger and eat there frequently. That said, if I ain't in the mood for those animal style grilled onions... I'm going somewhere else.
Someplace that doesn't rely on toppings and spreads to make their burgers flavorful and juicy. Someplace whose fries don't get cold by the time you've left the drive-thru.
I've had better burgers from hole in the wall mom and pop places. And the consistency is just as good.

agreed - I prefer Whataburger over either of these being discussed
I like 5 Guys, but agree that Whataburger needs to get back into Memphis. Still need to hit an In-N-Out.
What? Is Whataburger no longer in Memphis?
I spent many a night there (and all day Saturday and Sunday) while going through MSU. Working and partying and then trying to hit the books was the major reason it took me an extra year and a half to get through....

They've been gone from Memphis since the early 90's. I get a jalapeƱo cheese burger every road trip I make where there's a whataburger on the way.

It's amazing how many large cities are like that nowadays--Houston, Chicago, heck, even Minneapolis.

On a serious note, avoid Pink's Hot Dogs especially right before heading to the airport.
On a serious note, why would you go to Pink's if you will be anywhere but alone for 6 hours after finishing? Especially if it is a chili cheese dog with jalapeno. Should be served with a 6 ounce chaser of Bean-O.

Went to Orange Beach this summer, and got some Krystal's. I cannot understand why resturant row in Grapevine does not have one? I used to stop at the one on Beach St; can't believe it closed.
We have an I&O up here in Grapevine. Always packed. Whataburger is KING!!!!

Hey, I don't know some people's schedules; I just knew mine which included needing to eat and get to LAX all in a reasonable amount of time.

My favorite hamburger joint no doubt and I do order them animal style. The fresh cut fries are great as well as the shakes. If thiis all isn't good enough the workers are always busting it and very courteous. Highly recommend. BTW- I have a In & Out sticker on my car here in the Memphis. Ironically saw a In and Out sticker on another car here the other day. My favorite taco shop is called El Taco. Not too many of them but there is one in Downey. Again courteous folks and top grade ingredients. Plan to be out there again later this year. woot.
- Five guys is fine (better than standard joints) but not up to snuff with In & Out in terms of taste, service, or price.
I've eaten at all of the above. Spent lots of time in Downey consulting with the county of LA.
I'd probably appreciate in and out more if I was more of a fast food person. I rarely eat fast food.

How has no one suggested El Pollo Loco? Life changing; not in the form of a Pink's hot dog though.
