RE: MAC basketball schedule released
Toledo ends with a road-heavy schedule. I dont like. Also would rather have 2 games against BG rather than Akron or Kent

Here is Toledo's Full schedule

http://www.utrockets.com/pdf9/2778896.pdf

Road games at Duke and VCU. Not really any good home games this year. Bucknell is probably the best ooc home game

RE: MAC basketball schedule released
A few observations-

-Each team gets 9 home conference games, what is the process to decide which teams get 5 weekend home games and which teams only get 4? Is there a process?

- Why isn't there a better effort to schedule rivalry games and marquee games on Saturdays and when the students are on campus? Ohio only gets 3 Saturday home games (UB, EMU, Kent) and 1 Friday game (vs Miami). The Miami game is during Spring Break so the students won't even be there and no Akron or Toledo on a weekend either. Not to sound like a homer but those 3 games would have been the 3 largest attended games in the MAC if they were scheduled properly. A team with attendance numbers like Ohio should have 5 Saturday home games, not 3.

- Why are we still doing an uneven schedule of 18 conference games with Divisions where each team will play a random selection of 2 crossover teams twice and the other 4 cross over teams once? Pairing this uneven conference schedule with a Tournament bracket that causes the #5 team to play 2 more games than the #4 team was a bad idea last year and its a bad idea this year. Either you get rid of the uneven conference schedule or you get rid of the disproportionate byes in the Tournament.

EDIT: Kent has 4 weekend home games, not 3. Kent website has the Buffalo home game listed on Tuesday, and the MAC website has it on Saturday.

Akron's two double-crossover games are Toledo and WMU. Bleh.

Looking forward to you guys visiting. You and Ohio are Must-Go-To games at WMU. It's seriously like 'Circle the days Akron and Ohio are coming to Kalamazoo." The games are always close. Fans recognize that Akron, Ohio, and to some extent Kent St are the MAC's basketball powers and we always get good crowds as a result, and they're into it because the games are close.

4-0 against the Cats and the Zips last year, lots of reasons for Bronco fans to cheer. Hope Akron gets the 5 seed this year because of their cross over games like Ohio did last year.

Then I, too, find it outrageous that the Conference grants their request. How dare the conference do to OhioU as they ask!

I guess that the Flashes play Akron "away" on a Tuesday then Toledo away the following Saturday ... that's definitely better than playing Toledo away on Tuesday and Akron "away" on Saturday.

And the Wagon Wheel ends at home this year, which is good.

Are you suggesting the wheel in the sky does not keep on turning?
