WTF is your problem lately? Do you NOT understand what a hit and run is? She had two hit and run felonies and got no discipline whatsoever for it. Last I checked, it was illegal to drive without a license, and I don't think you can get one in the United States of you're not at least a citizen. Put down the kool-aid and snap out of it.

When you hit another person, or a car and you flee the scene, it's considered a hit and run, and very much a crime.

She should have done a lot of things differently Oct. 20, she said. She should have gone back to the scene.

She told the parents she’s tried to picture losing her cousins, the children she loves. She can’t.

“You say you forgive me, and I hope that you do,” she said.

For a moment, the room was quiet but for the sound of sniffing and the hushed voices of Garcia-Cisneros and the girls’ parents speaking directly to each other.

Yeah ok so next time someone kills a family and another family member speaks up and says its ok, we'll just let them go too. Breaking the law isn't a crime, after all, right? And any human can be the judge, right?

Definitely don't have to be a citizen. All I had to show at the DMV is that I live in Virginia, although I did have to show that I was here legally (visa and other documents).

She wasn't on trial for killing the two kids. She wasn't on trial for leaving the scene. She was on trial for not returning to the scene and providing her information to the authorities after her brother told her she might have hit two kids.

I bet those little girls were responsible for raking those leaves into the road too and, nevertheless, making a pile big enough to not be seen when the next sane motorist came along and decided it would be super fun to barrel right over that huge pile of leaves in the road and never look back after you hear two big thuds.
