As I once told Mike Raita when he said UAB/Troy played for 3rd, that, given that UAB was undefeated among state schools they played, I'd submit that they finished no lower than tied for 1st.

He basically replied, "Um, okay."

So Miss is on the waiting list with having lost 24 of the last 25 games. I guess week 1 is about the only chance to get some SEC teams, except Vandy, on that list.

Just glad it looks as if we are off there for a good while.

I'm optimistic that such a dread may become the answer to "remember when?" kind of questions one day soon.
