exactly.

the fact that he suggests an undefeated team could make it is actuall encouraging. imagine an undefeated team like marshall with a d1aa schedule getting in over a 2 loss ohio state.....there will be riots

Think about like this...

The SEC will likely get two spots which means that there will be 2 slots for the ACC, B1G, PAC12 and Big12. One way or another there is likely going to be at least one or two blue bloods from these conferences that are going to get left out. Once that happens I think you will see talk from the these conferences and the networks to increase playoffs to 8 teams. If that happens the system may have more tolerance for a one loss AAC school.

SMU: It might not be too long until Mustangs coach June Jones is back at the islands -- as a retiree. SMU had 67 total yards in Sunday night's 45-0 loss at Baylor, the second time the Mustangs have been shut out in the past three games.

Fire June.

Every single G5 team was eliminated from playoff consideration before the first snap of the season. The system is so stacked against us it would take a G5 team having multiple consecutive undefeated seasons in order to even be on the bubble for a 4 team playoff.

Theres not even a G5 team ranked at the moment. It would take a helluva rise to make top 4 from this point.
