The Football Writers Association of America announced their 2014 Award Winners. Our own local ODU Football writer placed in two categories taking a 2nd and a third. Nice job Harry and thanks for all you do for ODU. Here is part of the release that refers to him, "Harry Minium of the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot took a second place in Features for a story on how the sick brother of former Old Dominion offensive tackle D.J. Morrell finally got to see his brother play in person. Minium also collected a third place in Enterprise with his detailed account of how Old Dominion jumped to the FBS and Conference USA."

In the old CAA days, I still recall multiple instances where other team's fans would post Harry's article links as they related to their own programs.

We are incredibly blessed to have such a dedicated beat writer. Few are better than Minium.

The other CUSA members are doing this now as well. I'm willing to bet Minium does more reporting on CUSA Football, in addition to his ODU coverage, than any other CUSA school's beat writer. As a result, fans from other schools within the conference are following him and reposting/retweeting his columns in relation to their own program.
