what?

I'm just floored by this sudden wave of LOGIC and a legitimate alternative response to finding out what that button was. Teach me DOC.....TEACH ME HOW YOU DO THAT!!!!

If a kid lives in an innocent world where he was never, ever told that there is something wrong with being gay, then why does he need an alternative, politically correct way to ask a direct question?

What is wrong about asking a person if they're gay especially now that being gay is all the rage? The girl had the rainbow on her, she advertised it. And how my kid even knew that was a gay symbol is something I'm going to have to ask him.

While I disagree about the suspension, I have a hard time believing he would ask someone if they were straight.

Another solid point ^^^

What symbol does a straight person where to show the world he's straight?

I remember in school, many straight girls wore rainbow colors, or pins etc. They did so, b/c, wait for it......they liked rainbows (I mean they were teenage girls)

And I remember in school being gay meant you were happy.

So I should have raised my kid to be politically correct? To do that I'd first have to raise him to think there's something different or wrong about gays. I didn't. He doesn't know PC and in his mind the question was harmless.

You shouldn't have raised your kid to butt into other people's personal lives. What a swell extremist con you are smn.

When you're wearing it on your arm how personal can it be? Do you have a tattoo that says "retard?"

If you are crying about this so much, just home school him? Don't you guys always say if gay couples don't like a bakery's choice, then they should go somewhere else? This way the only crazy people he'll have to deal with will be family...07-coffee3

That's because if people told others they were gay, they would get beaten and shunned.

You don't ask someone if they are gay. Something you should have taught your kid.

Why?

Because you don't seem to understand that equality is about taking down barriers and saying that differences between people don't matter and are irrelevant. In other words labels are unnecessary.

Your slanted view of equality is thinking you can continue to classify people and treat them as a label.
