So...I haven't been on this board all day to read about the latest episode of All My Peterson's, but I had that stupid song stuck in my head for some reason.

You guys could go far with a competent head now.

A New AD certainly would not be tied at the hip to Shields like Peterson was. That's a big advantage.

Tell him he should continue to push for a LIttle Rock Bowl Game as well. As big of a Moron as Peterson is...he's the only one in Little Rock who understood that value.

I like to revel in UALR misery like any good ASU fan, but I fully admit, its far better for us as a school when you guys are successful. It forces us to match or pull ahead.

Peterson's interest in the Bowl Game was all about his own self promotion to be it's
director!

Hopefully the next step will be a new young energetic coach. Shields may really have to show out now since his buddy is gone. Being third or fourth best in a weak league may not get it with a energetic AD. The new guy may want to see butts in the seats too.

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!
I'm hoping for a relative young AD that is an understudy from a successful power conference school that is looking for the ualr job as a stepping stone to a bigger job down the road. And I hope he knows how to run a program in the new technology era. I haven't been this excited about ualr athletics since the jack opened.

Which we may very well not have built without CP.

As well as a track and soccer complex, and major additions and renovations to the baseball field. Love him or hate him, he's done more for UALR athletics than any previous AD. Hopefully, the "money" folks who buy the suites and season tickets, and don't show up, didn't do it because they liked Chris and will continue to give their money to UALR. The handful of folks on this board, won't make up for those folks if they pull their money. Hopefully, most of them have already sent in this year's checks or we might be in trouble. Remember, we don't have even one money game this season.

Peterson's one strong point was facility improvements. However, Frank Broyles deserves more credit in getting Jack Stephens to make his donation for the arena than Peterson. Too bad facilities development was where Peterson's strong suit ended. Building other aspects of the program just wasn't there.

But I guess Peterson can take pride in the fact that you and Jim thought he was great. Obviously there were other problems though, because as you pointed out, nobody gets fired over one really stupid remark!

Peterson maybe gets credit for he Coleman's donating the land. But I have repeatedly said on here that the track/soccer complex is not from private donations it is from bonds that are getting paid by student fees. So the students should be thanked for the actual improvements.

As for the biz crowd buying tickets they will keep doing it. It's a write off for them.

Thanks for giving the students money contributions credit! Also, the Coleman Family had been in discussions with UALR about the land donation for a long time. Peterson just happened to be here when the dairy closed and the time was right.

I didn't agree with Chris on a lot of things. All I know is that before he came here we did not have an oncampus arena, a track, or a soccer stadium. We had a baseball field, but it did not have locker rooms, a press box, or decent facilities for the fans. While he was here no one asked me to sell tickets and there were no whispers about the program shutting down due to financial problems. Hopefully, a new AD will do better. Like Yncopirt likes to say being AD at UALR is the "toughest (or was it worst) job in the country". Still, I'm excited to see what a new AD can do.

"Relatively" is probably the key word there. It takes a little more time to get the experience to be a successful AD than a coach. But we might get someone in his 30's.

Finding the "right" guy for this job and situation will be challenging. Looks to me that ASU hit a "home run" with their last hire (I can't spell his name). We need to do the same.
