I believe you mean the freshman from Illinois, but she suffered a serious knee injury and missed most of her senior season. Status unknown.

RE: New WBB Commit
Brenae Harris would seem the most likely starter at the point. Naama started from day 1, and Dortch started from midway through her redshirt freshman season. Other than that, I can't remember another freshman starting under Cullop. Given the emphasis that Cullop places on defense, I'm wondering about Lindsay Dorr, who had incredible blocked shot and rebounding numbers in high school.

Unless Reecher has improved tremendously or one of the freshman post players is ready to start, I'd like to see something like this: Harris, Recker, Zanoguerra, Capotosto, and Monakana. Despite having no true center, that would be a good rebounding team. And because everyone is roughly the same size you could switch a lot of picks. (For more offense, you could substitute de Alfredo for Recker.) Sure, there might be some defensive mis-matches if an opposing team has an imposing center, but there would be mismatches on the other end in our favor. I'd love to see a big, slow center try to guard Monakana on the perimeter.

With 14 on the roster, I wouldn't be surprised to see a redshirt or two. Maybe Kessler would be one of those if she has a big upside but isn't quite ready.

Not sure that Harris is a PG. Also, some who have seen her in practice question how much she will play.

I thought I read that she could play both guard positions. But if not Harris or Boyd, who are you thinking will play the point? Inma could do it. De Alfredo doesn't look like a point guard to me. Bravo-Harriott?

From what I hear, she'll be coming off the bench. I expect one of the true freshmen to start at pg this year
