Perhaps not, in fact I wonder about this poll in the first place, simply because I'd be surprised if 73% of the American dummies would even know what ISIS is.

But, that said, while it may not be important that joe blow understand the leader from behinders ISIS strategy, it'd sure be nice if HE did.

Most Americans have a cemented opinion of Obama. NOTHING that he does (or doesn't do) will change that.

That caused their military to crumble and disband...leaving the void that ISIS is now filling. No number of American troops would have been able to train and create a proper military for Iraq. And the SOF agreement Bush signed was the final nail. The Iraqi's didn't want us there and the vast majority of American's didn't want us there either. This would have happened eventually...we couldn't afford to be their military forever. In life or in treasure.

What you are saying is essentially "Blame Bush". OK.

So explain why your dear leader lied so much during the 2012 campaign.

If the shoe fits dude. The only folks saying Bush executed the proper Iraq war plan were his folks who devised it.

Yep, hindsight is always 20/20. I'm sure crazy uncle joe, cankles and the cabbage patch doll all regret their support.

There were clearly a number of faulty assumptions made that would turn out to be far less rosey in reality. That certainly prolonged the hostilities considerably. Mistakes, no doubt, were made.

Now, that is only being compounded by the way we got out. Simply packing up and walking out has created a virtual killing field over there and several more hundred troops were just announced to be going back in.

Makes one wonder if those troops heading over today will have the SOF agreement protections zerO did little to secure the last time around. Should have been pretty standard stuff, Bush certainly secured their protections, while ES, seemingly couldn't muster the political capital (How was that even possible? Doesn't anyone remember the "New Beginning" at Cairo U? 03-lmfao) to get one done before we strolled away the first time. He sure bragged about that a lot, though.

I sure hope, for the troops sake, that they are now protected. They wouldn't have been previously.

That's some serious Fox 'news' bull**** right there!

Obama's comments were talking about dealing with them in Syria, which is a hugely complicated issue. Anyone who says otherwise is s damned fool.

And we DO have a current strategy for ISIS...remember the 90+ bombings???

And then he added this:
Quote:"We need to make sure that we've got clear plans, that we're developing them. At that point, I will consult with Congress and make sure that their voices are heard," Obama said. "But there's no point in me asking for action on the part of Congress before I know exactly what it is that is going to be required for us to get the job done."

He's right on the money. Actions without the proper forethought will only result in disaster. See Iraq.

03-lmfao, oh please just use your pen.

Dude, he did the same thing last year when we were debating helping ISIS against Assad, and neither congress or the American people wanted any part of it. Now it's the other way around.

Until there's support from the American people, or congress in general, we ain't getting totally involved.

No, folks don't need specifics, but they do need leadership. At least give some inclination, other than just more rhetoric, that our leaders care more about beheaded Americans than their next fundraiser.

That just gives ISIS more attention. I'd rather he order drone strikes from the 12th hole.

Yeah. Preferably from a bunker. Lol
