About where I expect WKU to end up before its all said and done.....Crazy to think basketball mags are already out....Season will be here before we know it! Also impressed WKU got a page write up before in Sun Belt were lucky to get 2 paragraphs for basketball....

5th could be pretty optimistic with what we've lost. We'll see.

I would put Charlotte top 4 but it is good to be cautious when it comes to 49er basketball.

I agree on both counts.

Well, apparently CSM thinks way more highly of Charlotte than Sporting news. They're already into the 60's and still haven't featured us and we are the only logical choice left for the 2nd spot in CUSA.

Belief makes a valid point. Losing argubly your best player and bringing in a bunch of new and young players generally means a period of geling and it usually doesn't happen immediately.

I don't get the pessimistic or understated remark from you in this case although Belief can be pessimistic more often than not at times. You're the eternal optismist Blazer85, Belief is more of the realistic type...lol

I don't know about that. I haven't been too optimistic about football or basketball the last several years. I'm optimistic about this basketball team because I know the type of talent we got in this class and what we have returning. Admittedly, the question will be how well and how quickly the new players can establish some chemistry, but I think it will happen.

I'm not claiming a CUSA regular season title just yet, but optimistic? Sure, why not? With our incoming talent and who we have returning in addition to hosting the CUSA tournament, I expect us to play a key role in who is NCAA bound from CUSA this year.

Personally, I think if our players gel as well as I think they can, a 2nd place finish behind La Tech isn't out of the question for this year.

Charlotte at 3 and slide everyone else back a spot. I don't doubt ODU and WKU will be tough but they don't have Charlotte's talent this year. Every 49er fan will agree if we struggle, our downfall this year would be coaching. Alan Major teams don't show up at the end of conference play.

I glanced at the mag at the grocery store and it still had Frazier listed for UAB. I would agree with the first two spots. I think WKU, Charlotte and ODU are the next tier.

How do the byes work with the conference tournament now? 1-4 is double bye?

We could really use that double bye hosting the C-USA Tournament at home.

The last two teams really need to be excluded from the tournament.

Like I said, optimist. But I don't think Belief is being pessimistic this UAB squad.

I personally think some of you are getting ready to find out a new sheriff is in town
