No, it is. Sorry “gay men” and “the LGBT community,” but you don’t get special exemptions. People are people, and what you do with your genitals does not entitle a group whose bumper sticker slogan is “equality.” You don’t get to claim “homophobia” simply because Michael Sam wasn’t picked up by any NFL team.

Yeah, looks like he didn't....they didn't keep any DEs. They obviously have more pressing depth needs.

I really don't see the big deal here. If he performed better and had the talent to play at the NFL level, he would've made the roster. Not everyone makes an NFL roster, nor does everyone get drafted. The fact that he got drafted is an accomplishment, him being gay or not. Perhaps he goes to Canada or plays in the arena league. There's no shame in either. This really was an awesome story, and I wish him the best of luck, no matter where his playing, or even coaching, career leads him.

My bad, I thought you were questioning me for saying that if he would have tried harder then he would have made it over the undrafted guy they picked up. The only thing that bothered me about the Tebow situation is everybody thinking it was cool to pick on him for being a man of faith. JaMarcus Russell and Whats-his-nuts from Texas proved that you can be a top pick and suck in the NFL.

And he's set to sign for the Cowboys practice squad...
