A few years back, my number of passes to the Stadium Club and Trauber Suite were cut in half although my giving level remained the same. I believe the logic was that it went from 1) at a certain giving level you got a number of passes equal to the number of season tickets you purchased to 2) the number of passes was based on giving level alone, independent of the number of season tickets. It's a little awkward when you are at the game with 3 other family members and suddenly only two of you can get in.

Did I "not want to give"? No, but the change certainly didn't go over well.

RE: The Owl Club - A Challenge to the Parliament
It's been almost 2 weeks, I've found 6 new members for the Owl Club and 2 more have joined for the first time after this thread, taking advantage of my offer to match more per new member. I plan to have the 15 I pledged after this coming home game.

With a home game coming up, let's get some more support.

What will you do to support Rice?

Lou - Thanks for your encouragement. It's my 20th reunion year this year (Class of 1994, Hanszen, currently living in Austin). I normally give to the Annual Fund, but for the first time this year I've made an additional gift and joined the Owl club. Plus my company matches 2 for 1!

Go Rice!

Great! I've added you to the list of new members in this thread for an additional $25 from me!

I still have some work to do myself, I promised 15 new members and I am only at 8.

Facebook post this morning...

Quote:Mike Ecklund Thank you for all of the positive feedback and gifts to the Owl Club. We are off to a great start. Every donation helps and no gift is too small. We are really pushing to get the participation numbers up. If you want to lend your support you can donate online at http://www.rice.edu/owlclub or by contacting Tyler Maines, Assistant Director of Annual Giving at TDM3@rice.edu or 713.348.5086.
