Yes, it's true, he giggles. And It gets a little nerve wracking for the first time listener. But I think regular listeners could get used to that nervous laugh, except that he giggles at inappropriate times during an interview and then it becomes a different story.

Some out-of-towners and I were listening to to the Matrisciano interview, for example, last December. Frank Matrisciano is known as a celebrity who rarely does interviews. Vernon was unprepared, even though this was an interviewer's chance for some excellent publicity.

Vernon had few decent questions and laughed repeatedly. It was almost like a high school radio program. Frank, of course, was cordial and did not react to Vernon's antics.

So we can gather round Vernon and protect him as one of our own, but it doesn't change the fact that our program would benefit if we had more professional radio personalities.

Vernon won me over. After years of the other stuff, I gave 92 a trial run. The guy is good at entertainment while asking logical questions of non boring guests. Try listening for a week. You wont regret it.

Everyone has their faults. Yes, Vernon giggles like a school girl at times. He and his sidekick sometimes get sidetracked with bits that seem to be funny to no one but them. However, he's still the best interviewer around here on sports talk radio, and overall seems to get the best guests. It's usually worth listening. Change the station when the tickling begins and come back later. It usually doesn't last more than 15 minutes.

Frankly I can't stand Parrish or Vernon. Parrish is bogus and Vernon is a doofus.

Give me Gaston and some of the 56 "hacks" any day. At least they know and talk sports instead of voicing their political agenda and/or discussing their personal life like Parrish or giggling like somebody who just smoked their first reefer like Vernon.

But that's just one mans opinion.

Not so you'd notice. Vernon had his shot at one of the few, if not the only, straight up interview done on the guy. You might be surprised at the people he's 'trained', since you ask this question.

"He's a man of mystery. He's elusive. He's an enigma.
Most people don't know much about Frank Matrisciano, the man infamously called "Hell's Trainer," aside from the national attention he's garnered for training some of the NBA's best, including Blake Griffin. Despite this coverage, Frank is still shrouded in mystery, because he won't let his face be shown in photos or revealed during interviews. Even when ESPN did a piece on him, he had his face blacked out on camera."

No f'ing kidding. Memphis Tiger fans saw him on camera without his mask, run down and 'save' Joe once, though. lol.

I know his back story. He trains celebrities, that does not make him one. Being a weirdo maybe makes him intriguing but far from a celebrity in my opinion. Anyone know what he is doing now? Should i check tmz to find out?
