That was a very good article. The one thing I had to wonder after reading it was whether or not Hack has signs of memory loss. He couldn't recall anything - even the fact that it was WesternMich. we lost to in 2000 - not Central Mich. I also know it was on 9/23/00 and Bolden was unable to run because of a hamstring issue. I just wish they would have mentioned that Marshall won the championship (on their own field after buying those rights) even though Toledo beat them at the Glass Bowl 42-0. Pinkel did not pile on when it was 35-0 at halftime - but that did not stop the nose-picking Pruett from crying about Toledo running it up. The only score in the second half was from a QB sack in which Leftnutt coughed up the ball and we recovered in the end zone. God, how I hated Marshall....

Love the almost empty stands in Happy Valley.

I remember that 1995 season very well, specifically the last home game. I was one of the students about to run onto the field after the victory in the last game. I was seated just behind the goal post in the South endzone. The clock went to 0:00 and I got to the railing and was about to hop over.
There was a UT/Toledo cop on the sideline that said "You! Stay in the stands."
I said "Me? Why me?"
He said "Because."
I said, "What about the other three thousand students on the field right now?"
He said "I don't care about them, only you."

Yeah, I missed out running on the field because one jerk cop chose to stop one 5'6" 140 pound sober 20 year old. Way to make a difference there buddy, I hope you are proud of yourself. I'm not bitter. LOL

Whenever you see students rushing the field, you usually see a cop or 2 who stop 1 student while everyone is running. I always get a chuckle out of it.

By sagarin Toledo is a 1 point favorite vs. Mizzou this weekend according to the preseason rankings which sagarin bases the first 7 weeks on. Toledo is ranked 49. Mizzou is 42.
Next closest in the MAC is NIU at 62.

I suppose they have to look like they are at least trying to do their job. I would have just walked down a little further out of his site and jumped the rail.

Seems like a useless rating system. Hope they are right though.
