Did...did I really see one of those "the crowd holds cards to spell a message" things that said something like "Louisville Proud To Be ACC"? That's the most nauseating thing I can conceive of. Also further proof of how small time that program is...I mean I will eat my words if Pitt or Cuse did something similar, but those programs at bottom understand that being in the ACC isn't something to be proud of--it just means you snuck into the cartel by the hair of your chinny chin chin. "RELIEVED TO BE IN THE ACC" would be accurate.

Funny how you guys complain about this, yet scroll down a couple of threads and you see similar comments about CUSA and all the other G5 leagues.

It's kinda funny to hear the espn talking heads bounce around the aac vs acc discussion. The fact is if louisville hammers the acc then the aac teams get some p5 ooc wins maybe the aac is a legit conference. Remember louisville didn't won shifted in the American last year and the world know so.

Being in the ACC is well-deserved for Louisville... Unlike say a certain program that entered on the Big Ten on July 1 of this year.

I will say even though Miami is a shell of a program at this point it's still nice to see them get squashed. I'll probably feel the same way watching Duke lose twenty years after K retires.

(This game is also made much more tolerable by turning the sound off, but you probably knew that.)

You mean the the flagship world university that joined its fellow flagship world universities at the top of the college sports pyramid, versus the school that singlehandedly cratered whatever academic reputation the ACC had left? Yeah...

RE: Hard to watch! Canes vs Cards
Not sure why folks are hating on Louisville...

They have worked harder and longer than any team that got a "big league" call up the last 20 years. They have great facilities and and all around athletic program that is well supported. If anything I hope they do well b/c it validates all their success in the BigEast/AAC and conversely teams who had success against them over the years.

In terms of action on the field, they got better as they went along. My only refrain is that we don't know how good a team Miami will be this year. They have a LOT of highly recruited players on both sides of the ball but Al Golden is going to himself Coker'ed if he doesn't turn it around soon. They are 4-5 loss team this year which won't sit well with their fans who are hungry after years of turmoil.

being at both Syracuse & Colorado in the years they transitioned to new conferences,

Louisville is taking this transitional thing 20x more extreme than either of those two schools.

I'm just saying doggie...you get mad bc the ACC wants to separate itself from you yet you'll turn around and try your darnest to separate yourself from the rest of the G5.

Looks pretty stupid from an outsider's perspective.

I was accepted there, actually.

What does that have to do with how dumb this thread is?
