RE: CAA Week 2 Prediction Thread
....or is Albany that improved?

Doug, They are improved, we need some more games to gauge how much. As they have increased their scholarships they have really focused on recruiting Maryland, DC and VA. The coach's prior time with the Terps has brought in a lot. Dematha and Good Counsel have a number of players on the Albany roster and there are about a dozen from Maryland on the roster. They even have a couple of VA kids.

WVU 54, TU 0 03-thumbsup And before this TU got beat by a CCSU team that just got handled by Albany. Might be a long season at TU..

Looks like Towson could be back to regular Towson again...and all is right with the world.

I know there are some who hate it when I say, almost every season, there are three teams in the CAA which should be considered cupcakes if you are a JMU fan.

This doesn't mean its the same three and it doesn't mean we will beat them. But, three CAA teams are fortunate to win 3 games almost every season. This is why I am so opposed to putting another one from OOC on our schedule.

We usually end up playing 2 of those 3 CAA teams, and to add another, or even two others, as we did in 2012 with Alcorn St. and St. Francis and scheduled for 2016 is Morehead St. and CCSU is not understandable. For those who simply want the best opportunity to make the FCS playoffs, I guess you couldn't be happier.

Some live for those playoffs, the last win we had was against Eastern KY. Hope you were excited about playing that game. Yes, it gave us the opportunity to play in a meaningful game against NDSU, but if we would just go ahead a schedule a "NDSU" instead of hoping for the opportunity, I might not have to take my daily dose of Geritol.

Having an NFL caliber running back in the CAA for three years will get you some wins no doubt.
