Two QB System - wave of the future?
Well I see where a power coach, Nick Saban no less, is considering a 2 QB offense. And CAL worked the 2 QB game plan against Northwestern. Is Coach Carey part of this mini trend? An inquiring mind wants to know.

Kids want to play. If a coach won't choose, a kid will go somewhere else.

Not at all. Dumbest thing a team could do!

Look how it ended up with Toledo!

Or could it have more to do with the talent level of Leak and Tebow?

Or the system, and the surrounding players? Leak and Tebow both didn't have NFL talent. Tebow was a crazy successful collegiate player, and I'm not detracting from that, but that system played to his strengths, and they had the players to employ that system.

Yeah I think it has more to do with extreme talent, my point was using an anomaly like Florida is not fair when judging a 2 QB system.

RE: Two QB System - wave of the future?
So any team that won that had talent surrounding a 2 QB rotation makes them an anomaly in the conversation? How many 1 qb teams had a crappy qb and still won bc of superior talent around them?

Dumb.

I didn't even have to dig deep to find a recent very successful example.

For the record, I'm in the "pick the best guy and ride with him" camp. But the answer to this riddle is there is no answer and hence the debate.

Didn't Tebow win seven games in a row as a rookie? Didn't he win a playoff game as a rookie? Wasn't the same team 0-6 before the Savior took over???

Yeah, and Orton won games with the Bears as a rookie. That doesn't mean both weren't/aren't bad pro QB's.

I think the exceptional athletic ability of Maddie is putting a lot of pressure on the situation that otherwise would not be there. If this were McIntosh vs. Hare, there would not be a QB controversy.

RE: Two QB System - wave of the future?
why is Tebow as an NFL player being discussed? the original context was Leak & Tebow in college, which is totally different.

As soon as typed the word tebow I knew it was a mistake. Nothing derails a good thread like Touchdown Timmy.

This ship has sailed, sir. Time to put it to bed.
