Toledo's biggest fan right here! You kill me. It shouldn't be too bad that you will miss this game because you will be enjoying Huskie football.
Ahhh Timxl, maybe I am a bit obsessed with Toledo because I want NIU to remain ahead of them but trust me, please trust me when I say I hate Toledo. Ever since the 2002 game in DeKalb, I can assure you I hate Toledo like no other.

All things aside, this was a 4th ranked FCS team. Didnt NIU have a little bit of an issue last year with EIU which was also a ranked FCS team? And look what happened, you guys had a great season. By the way it was nice to play an FCS team for a change. I liked that is was a well known one that was ranked and went to the FCS playoff last year too.

Toledo's QB looks pretty good. I didn't see anything in McIntosh's limited playing time that makes me think he's any better than an average MAC QB. Too soon to say though, we don't have enough info to make a decent guess here which team is better.

NIU is Ranked #37 on USA Today Paul Myerberg's re-rank after week 1 of the CFB season. That is good for the third highest ranked Group of 5 team behind Marshall who came in at #20 and BYU at #31.
Our Toledo friends are at #51[/align]

With the new Access system we really do want to cheer for all the MAC teams and against all the other GO5 conferences. The new payout structure is paid in how the complete conference finishes.
The last system allowed us MAC fans to cheer for a MWC team like Boise St several years back because them getting in a BCS game would mean more money for the MAC and NIU. It is no longer like this now.

Huh? He played well. It was the Blue Hoes, but he had 4 incompletions and I think 3 of them were drops. You can't make any sort of judgement off that game.
He throws a great deep ball. I know that.

FYI BYU does not count towards the GO5 access bowl slot.

That seemed to be a big weakness of NU's safeties.

I know, just saying, Toledo's QB did well too and UNH is a better team. Like I said, not enough info yet.

You can't have it both ways. If there's not enough info, then you don't rank McIntosh.
I was very encouraged by his performance. I think Mac proves himself this Saturday against Northwestern and puts the QB "controversy" to rest.

Well I didn't see anything that made him stick out from other QBs, that's all I'm saying. And I was saying there wasn't enough info to compare the 2 teams, not to compare QBs.

Completely disagree, IMO Mac was the only QB that did not disappoint. I know the QB ratings for all 3 were very similar but Hare was unimpressive in the 2nd quarter and Maddie did not show much with his arm at all.

I do think Maddie had the cards stacked against him a little with the weather, game situation, etc. Maddie seems like he is dangerous rolling out but really seems to be a poor pocket passer. If he had just a tiny bit more pocket passing ability, I think he would be the guy.

I meant compared to other MAC QBs - specifically Toledo's QB. I think Hare has more zip on his throws than Mac, but in the wet conditions (which were wetter when Hare and Maddie were playing) the WRs were dropping a couple of them. McIntosh can hit guys that are wide open, can he hit them when there's a smaller window?

Is the challenge for McIntosh to just be a little more patient, it seems like maybe he is going at a gear which is a little too fast for this offense (in-play not between plays)

Ouch 84. Even with those 50 some computers the Massey composite uses, the worst ranking for NIU is 72, and the best is 18. CFN pretty tough on the Huskies once again.
