Your opinion. Not shared by all and we have enough teams. Don't need
Of course, but if/when we need .........
Texas State ?
Arkansas State would be preferable. I like South Alabama, too, but that seems highly unlikely.
Would add a new state and we won't have to listen to all name crap from ULL
I think the viable candidates in the SBC should a need arise are Arkansas State, Louisiana Lafayette, South Alabama, and Texas State, with Georgia State having an opportunity to join that group if their basketball stays strong and they get their feet under them in football.
South Alabama probably fits the mold best of all, good market, deep pockets, well rounded program.
I don't expect any movement incoming or outgoing any time soon.

La. Tech fans what do you think of your sudden offensive outburst under Skip? are you all surprised? that's a very nice win for your program.
2 big issues from last year were addressed:
1. Our OL can pass-block this year. Skip changed the offense from all spread formation to multiple formations to give some added protection for the QB.
2. Our QB is a much better QB than we had last year.

Stunned. Holtz (understandably) has confidence in Sokol's ability to stretch the field. We didn't have that last year and Holtz went into the fetal position as a coach.
A very, very welcome adjustment for Louisiana Tech football!!!!!

It is only one game, but I'm thinking Dykes must have really, REALLY left us with nothing to work with. Kudos to him getting Sokol to come down from Iowa . . . he is pretty damn good.

Yeah, but we'd all have to listen to the Arkie State fans, who are even worse (to MT fans, at least).
Cajuns have always treated MT like their own. We have had many a joint-tailgate.
But we don't need a team now, so no use arguing about it, I reckon'.
Congrats on the win, Tech.
I think of the two, the recent football success is more sustainable in Lafayette.
I think we'll know the answer to that after Hudspeth leaves. I've been impressed with stAte's ability to remain at the top of the belt while having to replace their head coach each of the last 3-4 years.

As long as our current AD stays (And he did graduate from here) we'll stay in good shape. If we start losing our administration, it will be a rightful time to worry in Jonesboro.
