I knew when asked about it and he said "I need to watch film, but it (QB rotation) seemed to work well tonight", that he was going with this type of thing the whole year.

To be honest, they shouldn't name publicly until Saturday when the kick goes. NW won't be able to plan well for it. Look how they handled Cal mixing it up, it was hardly a system, but they threw the runner out ther every now and then.

Another positive for the delay is now its too late for a qb to transfer to an fcs school....

That was 4 days ago. He just said he's going to name one soon, TODAY. Take the man at his word. He keeps things close to the vest.

Ok, have you not learned that Carey cannot be taken at his word? If Carey could be taken at his word then Akeem would have been graduated by now because he would have burned eligibility last year haha.

At this point, IMO, it doesn't really matter anymore if he names a starter. The non-conference portion of the season has been compromised already. NIU can probably still win the MAC with this rotation, I was just disappointed it lessened our chance for non-conf wins. But with how things are playing out, we weren't going to beat Arkansas anyway, so essentially what we sacrificed with this was the Northwestern game.

Why are people complaining about this right now? If you're not going to name a starter before the PC game, why would you name one now? Make Northwestern prepare for 3 QBs. It would have made no sense to come out and name a starter today.

Everything Carey is doing with the QBs up to this point plays into our favor against NW. I'm sure we're all going to know who the main guy is after NW but like others have said NW has basically nothing to plan against with the QBs. Why make it easier for them. Cal played it perfectly against their D with the rotating of the Qb and NW has no answer for it.
