What a joke! I did see Ohio U and SMU both open at home on 9/20 as well. Still I don't like waiting until 9/20 to open at home. Our weather is not good enough to waste prime FB weekends. Yeah, I know a couple key guys would be out this weekend but I'd still like to see a later bye week. It will be needed.

Several weeks ago I realized how bad out schedule lays out. I think that is part of the reason we will have a rough season. Even if we manage to win 2-3 games, we are not going to be bonding with this team at home with all the excitement of the horsy run-on and the DJ and all that. I realize the schedule is not Coach's fault, it just came out the way it did and we are stuck with it. We get killed at V.T. and then limp home to play Toledo, who will beat us down as well. Then we hang around for those late November games which are seldom a pleasure to attend. Mix in the late Chip game is away, not fun, and not usually productive, and the schedule is a bit of a bummer, and worse yet, the home crowd will probably not see the team at it's best and freshest.

As the other guy says, I may be wrong, but I don't think so.

This is why we will have 14 freshman starting eventually. 2 deep guys will eventually have to step up and play
