They are indeed.

Phil Steele's 2014 Plus/Minus Power Ratings

American
UCF 124.48
Houston 120.13
Cinci 118.82
ECU 115.57
Memphis 109.26
SMU 109.20
USF 108.87
Tulsa 108.04
Temple 107.48
UConn 107.17
Tulane 105.87

CUSA
Marshall 120.20
UTSA 115.99
North Texas 108.45
Rice 107.83
FAU 105.00
Mid Tenn 103.65
La Tech 102.89
WKU 101.36
So Miss 95.87
Old Dominion 95.54
UTEP 94.22
UAB 91.78
FIU 90.48

UH should beat UTSA, but it would not be a huge shock if the Roadrunners were to pull the upset.

I hate being right.

The results weren't an upset to anyone not wearing Houston colored glasses.

Vegas had us as a 10-13 point favorite. Clearly it was an upset to somebody.

that is a tough way to open a new stadium. May Houston's luck rub off on Baylor. Somehow i think it will stop right about at the brazos heading north.

Unlikely. Baylor actually has a competent HC/OC (unlike us).

Most of the Houston fans that post here are completely embarrassing outside of a handful of posters. This is definitely the coogfans contingent as opposed to the cougarsden types. The average Houston fan isn't remotely as obnoxious or as ignorant as some that post here. For those of you that travel to away games I encourage you to visit and tailgate so you can see for yourself.

As for the game itself, congrats to the UTSA fans. I expected to win but can't say I'm surprised that we lost. Levine dug his grave with his poor hires and I'm not sure that there's a way out.

I see we have one hit dog that hollered. If you consider fighting stupid with stupid an effective way to 'defend' UH then you're just making my point. Very coogfans-esque response as expected.

Not to mention the fact that UTSA fans didn't come into this thread badmouthing UH. The UH fans I talked to at the game were good sports though.
