Interesting. When I read your headline, I thought it was referring to the "resign or be fired" ultimatum mentioned in a previous post. Bad for our athletic program but good for Will!

I certainly don't believe the "resign or be fired" ultimatum. Doesn't mean it's not true.

I have absolutely no idea what to believe. But the way the story was presented, it seems it would be sort of difficult to make up this sort of thing. It must have some basis in fact. Or it could be just strong wishful thinking on the part of the poster!

RE: Confirmed
Don't have a clue as to any of this blither, but some Trojan fans wouldn't believe it if there was video of someone taking cash out of the safe. Evidently the threats about exposing Peterson over the baseball situation didn't have legs, so I'm waiting to see if this one does. I've always been one that needed to see some level of proof before I would believe something. There is no corruption in our athletic department, "not even a smidgen." I'd like to know why if you're going to give the head coach an extension, why wouldn't you give it to him right after the last season was over, instead of waiting until the end of August. Doesn't make sense.

Don't really think that there is real corruption in our athletic department, but it sure isn't operating like a well run department should, but we know that there is no proper promotion of the program, a ******* joke for a coaches TV and radio program and obviously there is no real desire to win championships here, or they wouldn't keep a coach around for 13 years that hasn't produced more than he has, and one that nobody else wanted.

Would also like to hear the "real" story of why Coach Lee left the program without having another job. Sure he'd like to spend more time with his family, who wouldn't, but you do have to eat while you enjoy the family. Doesn't make sense you leave one job without another one lined up. Who is going to do the recruiting now? They didn't recruit players like they have now before Lee came along. Wonder if that situation has any legs?

If he takes Shields with him. I didn't have anything personal against Chris(had no personal dealings with him, but didn't agree with a lot of things he did or didn't do with, or with Steve as far as that goes, but I blind man can see the program is sliding down every year. Didn't appreciate them giving Shields this last minute reprieve and extending his contract for one more year when he hasn't accomplished ****. Now, if he blows another year without winning the tournament, we'll hear the same old **** we heard this year. "He's got another year on his contract and we can't afford to fire him." I'm too old for this same old, same old every year.

I definitely will be following the baseball, and I expect to see a vb game or two, and I'm sure I'll see a few basketball games, ASU, UCA, and Georgia State for sure. Gonna miss Foley's girls.
