When I lived in New Orleans, there was a dude on talk radio who did a whole show about sports attendance. His name was Kaare Johnson.

Unless a heavy defeat by Mississippi State depresses the fans, the UAB faithful should show up in force for their next two (very winnable) home games against Alabama A&M and FIU, these could make for great games to watch.

I was surprised by that as Troy didn't have as many as I was expecting them to but we did have more than I thought we would.

It was the smallest Troy crowd they have ever brought.

That crowd yesterday would have nearly filled some stadiums but does not look great in a 72k seat toxic waste dump.

That's good news all around for UAB, a great performance on the field and a nice crowd of 27k. Hope this snowballs into some sustained momentum for you guys!

It's too bad it poured all game at MT. :(

That was two of the most demoralized fanbases I've ever seen in one stadium. All 6,000 of them.

I was there, and frankly, if I hadn't had a kid in the marching band, I probably wouldn't have.

Flagship! I kid, I kid, I know UTSA and UTEP will beat that number easily, it's just nice to not have an embarrassing number up there by our name anymore. Wish I could've gone, but I had to work. May have to go to Miss St this weekend to make up for it.

27k is a respectable number. Good job UAB fans
