16-0 Chattanooga Mocs with 2 minutes left in the half.

Dear DexterDevil,
Where are you watching? I've been watching Wake Forest game and just saw the score. Couldn't be better if Central loses. I hope Chattanooga wins.

CMU came back to win.
Also Akron was very impressive vs. Howard.
NIU beat a very weak opponent.

Weak? Howard got beat by Old Dominion 76-19 last season.

I think he means it's weak that Ken wasn't rooting for a MAC team to win.
I typically root for MAC teams in OOC games, but I don't blame Ken here. CMU is different. I hope the Chimps lose every game.

Talking about HOWARD. Howard was up and down last season.
Best game: EMU.
Worst game: ODU?
Akron and WMU are my surprise MAC teams for 2014.
Akron v. PSU next Saturday could be a game to watch.

I'm the same way - I can even root for Western OOC - but not the boys from Dismal Flats...

I think Enos got a new three year contract after last year. Its really hard to find a CMU alum or fan that's been that fired up about Enos. Their best WR and perhaps player got injured and maybe out for a few games. Beating CMU and WMU should always be on the annual to do list although it never has helped us much with instate recruiting.

RE: Anyone Watching the CMU Game?
Dear Bob Wickersham,
The reason that I cannot root for Central, has to do with their vote back in 1984.
Remember that Eastern was accepted first as a new MAC member, back in 1971. Later, central was accepted with the help of Eastern administrators.
Come to 1984, and after some terrible seasons, the MAC decided to vote on whether Eastern should be kicked out of the league. Central voted to kick us out. Western abstained.
Later the vote (which the majority voted to kick us out) was rescinded, so Eastern was able to stay in the league. Three years later we won the MAC football championship, and the California Bowl.
I just cannot support a school that acted in their own self interest (so they thought), after we helped to get them into the same league we were in. Bob, if you can forget and forgive that kind of action on their part, maybe you are better than me, but I can't.

I am with you, I cheer against CMU anytime I can in any given sport. Always rooting for a CMU loss.

Ken, I can see your point of view...I kind of look at it as water under the bridge. You have to admit we were a laughingstock when we had the nation's longest losing streak. I almost can't blame anyone for wanting to boot us out...and then along came Harkema to build the program. It would be great if Creighton could do the same thing.

Amen!
Regardless whether they voted to kick us out of the MAC in 1984 they are a rival. Geez, would you EVER hear of a Michigan alum/fan rooting for State or visa versa? How about a Buckeye wanting Michigan to win?
Goodness, we have to remember where our allegiance lies.
GO GREEN! GO WHITE!

CMU is our true natural rivals in all things. Always have been. I wish nothing but failure upon them as an institution.

Not me. I root for CMU and WMU. Neither is good enough to be envious of.

Northern lower hillbillies and hayseeds. Student body is made up of first generation college goers. Good nursing program, average business school, below average engineering school, average computer science program, worthless med school, one of too many education programs in MI.
I don't envy them, I pitty them. Breaks my heart every time I'm up north and a Chip alum is shining my golf clubs and wiping down my cart.

Don't act all high and mighty. WMU isn't exactly Harvard. You're equally as insufferable as CMU fans are.
