Blazers proud of Clark's debut

Some telling quotes/stats:
Quote:"I've never been a part of something like this," Watkins said. "I told him, 'Thank you.' I told (athletic director) Brian Mackin the same thing. "'Thank you for bringing him here.'"
Quote:UAB hadn't won its season opener since 2009, and Clark is the first coach in school history to win his debut. He's UAB's fifth coach.
Quote:Opening rout: Troy's 48-10 loss was its worst in a season opener since 1961 when Louisiana College won 39-0. UAB's 48 points were the most the Trojans have given up in an opener. The previous high was in a 46-26 loss at Arkansas in 2007.

The Blazers haven't won 2 of their first 3 games since 2005. We are now in pretty good position to get there.

We haven't won our first 3 games since 1992. Back-to-Back games against Bulldogs... Wish I could make the trip.
