UAB looks competent on all sides of the ball. Troy, not so much.

41-10 now.

This begs the question, where the preseason picks of Troy being pretty good totally off?

No, this is only a fake-out on Troy's part to catch the rest of the conference sleeping.

Many of those picks were predicated on Troy's weak schedule. But then again its only game 1, and it might be just a case of a team screwing the pooch on game 1.

Week 1 to week 2 improvement is always the biggest increase of the year, I won't write them off yet, but it's not good. Also remember, this would be the Make it or break it as Blakeney might have his job on the line, So he might pull out all the stops to get this thing righted.

I think it's already over for CLB, or at least it should be. Really no excuse for this kind of blow out to UAB.

To those that know... Could UAB have made a significant turnaround in one season? I mean I know it's happened before, I just don't know about UAB doing it. (not a knock on UAB, I just don't know what they did during the offseason)

I've seen coaches coach there way out of the grave when their job is on the line. He's a good enough coach to pull a rabbit out of his ass, but he better get his head right soon.

I would agree with you but Trojan fans have already been murmuring the past few years of mediocre/disappointing seasons. This on top of that may be it. He would have to win the Sun Belt.

Troy looks just awful. They are winning the turnover battle and still down huge. There are a lot of holes on that team.

Maybe Tuff will prove to be right and they will improve but they have their work cut out for them.

Good coaching solves several problems and Bill is one of the best around. I hope the UAB staff does not sign long term leases on their apartments because this maybe their only year at UAB.
