“I’m told it was almost a 30-day delay from when they said they wanted to go to when he finally gave the green light,” Shaffer told Harnden. “They were ready to go in June to grab [Foley] and they weren’t permitted.”

Now current senior Pentagon officials have reportedly confirmed that President Obama delayed the rescue operation.

I believe it. he dithered before the bin laden raid. he dithered on the surge in afghanistan. it's SOP for him.

He was planning His Vacations and Fundraisers and Those were Far More Important to Him. O's Gettin' paid !

It's my belief that Obama, not being a military man and clueless about what they do, simply asked the odds of the mission being successful, which probably got lower and lower as time went on, and the decision to try the rescue was calculated to be timed to have the most political impact and nothing more.

Aren't we so lucky to have such a successful inspiring leader.

Coincindentally, this delay was during the Bo Bergdahl fallout. Bergdahl was released May 31st, and the administration thought they would receive public accolades. Instead, they received public rebuke. So the admin had to spend their time spinning and lying through that scandal.

And to think some people believed Obama did nothing.
